It’s on! The 2016 edition of Ubisoft Game Lab Competition has officially begun. Over the next 10 weeks, 134 students from all over Quebec will work hard to deliver playable video game prototypes. 17 teams have been formed from 11 different Quebec universities and will be guided by 34 mentors from Ubisoft throughout the competition.
“I have the chance of working with many graduates in my team, and their passion is really contagious. This is one of the reasons I accepted to oversee the Game Lab Competition. The next generations make all the difference!” says Julien Laferrière, producer at Ubisoft Montreal and president of the jury for the 2016 edition of the Competition.
This year, the teams must create prototypes that follow an “ocean” theme. The prototypes will be presented in late March. Good luck to all the teams!
