Ancient Siberia Announcement

Valga-Games studio is ready to release the game called Ancient Siberia in autumn 2017. The project genre is defined as a MMORPG+Survival Sandbox.

The size of the game map is estimated of approximately of 400 square km.
The game takes place in Siberia which was known as Great Tartaria in ancient times. The game setting was being developed based on Ancient Slavic fantasy material.

The growing-up system implemented in the game allows a player to start with being a child and to develop into a teenager and later on into an adult. After entering the adulthood the player is left to their own devices and is free to design their own fate. Their decisions define who they will become in future.

The game is being developed within an innovative genre of MMORPG + Survival Sandbox which means that a player needs to eat, to sleep, and to dress up warmly if it is cold outside. It must be noticed that a player finds themselves in a society with other players along, so that they need to interact with them, to join the Guilds, to build houses and so on.

There are also some safe cities in the game where it is forbidden to engage in battles. Players can trade with NPC and other users and build the storages for all the accumulated and crafted items.

A player is able to build their own ship which is the key subject of transition from terrestrial world to the water space, where it is possible to pirate, to obtain resources and move to the different parts of the map and participate in large-scale water battles.

The fighting system can be described as a hardcore slasher one. A player doesn’t just push the button to strike or hit but uses a full-scale system of different rolls, blocks, and defenses by calculating the impact of strength and fixing on a target. On injuring some body parts a player not only starts bleeding but also limps because of a wounded or broken leg.
The plot of the game is hardly noticeable and realized with a help of myths and legends which unfold along with a player developing his skills and discovering the outer world.

Interaction with NPC-monsters is adaptive which means that a player cannot just kill several monsters in a row. He has to prepare himself for the battle and choose the combat tactics for every certain type of enemies.

At the moment the game servers can simultaneously accommodate up to 250 people with the prospect of increasing this number to 1000. The peculiarity of the servers is that all players can simultaneously participate in the battle being on the same map. Another feature of the servers concerns its initial hierarchy in terms of complexity. There will be three of them which are easy, medium and hard to play at. The difference between the servers is not only in the complexity of fighting the monsters, but also about the level of realism. A player logging into a hard server should adapt as quickly as possible to the alternation of day and night depending on the real time, and find clothes and food, as well as weapons and tools in order to survive.

It is worth mentioning that on dying a player loses all the items earned before, and upon respawning has to re-earn everything once again.
