Beyond the Sky – A mysterious journey about life and death

Iperurania Arts presents its first game “Beyond the Sky”, a deep point and click adventure for Windows and MacOS.
“Beyond the Sky” is a dark point and click adventure inspired by the masters of literature, cinema, videogames, and art. It features challenging logical puzzles well integrated with story, a deep narrative, a unique art style and a very eerie atmosphere.

In “Beyond the Sky”, you control Selene, a young girl who dreams to reach the Moon. One night, tricked by an obscure figure, she finds herself lost all alone in a dark wood. With the help of the inhabitants of the forest she’ll learn to explore the surrounding world in a different way, to go beyond appearances and face her fears.

What’s the sense of life and death? What is death? How to fight loneliness? How to become self-confident? What’s the sense of power? What’s the sense of war? These are only a few of the topics you deal with while playing the game. But “Beyond the Sky” is not a walking simulator, you must face hard puzzles that will challenge your mind, puzzles that are not mere obstacles but actual narrative elements.

Iperurania Arts: we’re a small Italian team of two game developers and a cat: Federico Mercurio, Giulia Mariella and Jones. Now we’re working on Beyond the Sky, our biggest and most important project. Our goal is to make intriguing and good-looking games, fun to play and with a unique style. We’re lovers of games, music, movies, literature and art and we’d like to show this in our creations. We’re inspired by classics and masters of videogames (i.e. Double Fine games and LucasArts adventures) and by the dark and gothic tones of Tim Burton’s and Guillermo del Toro’s cinema or by movies like Bram Stoker’s Dracula. We’re also inspired by literature, especially by Latin and Greek classics, French chivalric romance, Italian medieval literature, Shakespeare’s works, English Romanticism, and the biggest contemporary authors as well as by masters of art like Caravaggio, Canova, and Gustav Klimt. Our purpose is to put whatever we love in our works making something new, beautiful and engaging.
