The seasonal update will be available for download on April 10th at 10 AM PT, with Patch Notes to follow between the update download and the season’s launch.

Gunfight, a popular game mode from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and the precursor to Call of Duty: Warzone Gulag confrontations, will make a return in Season 03. In this mode, two duos face off in small, cage-match-style maps with random Loadouts, competing to win six rounds. The map rotation for Gunfight will include Alley, Blacksite, Shipment, and Exhibit.

Three new core maps and two battle maps will be added in Season 03. Pelayo’s Lighthouse and Black Gold will be available at launch, while Alboran Hatchery will be introduced midseason. For Battle Maps, Rohan Oil and Sattiq Cave Complex will be added.

Players can also look forward to the return of modes Cranked, Face Off, and GW Infected during Season 03. Ranked Play rewards will be updated, offering players the chance to earn new rewards for match wins and high placements in the Gold Division or above.

Midseason updates for Season 03 will include a new Core Map, a Special Ops mission, and the third episode of Raid, continuing Task Force 141’s story after the events of the Modern Warfare II Campaign. Prepare for intense battles, strategic gameplay, and thrilling storylines as Season 03 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 unfolds.

Warzone 2.0 is introducing a wealth of new features, updates, and modes, ensuring that players have an immersive and thrilling gaming experience. With the arrival of Massive Resurgence in Al Mazrah, a resurgence of Plunder mode, and a host of additional in-season features, Warzone 2.0 promises to be the ultimate playground for all Warzone competitors.

Massive Resurgence Comes to Al Mazrah

The fast-paced Resurgence mode is making a return with a new version called Massive Resurgence, set on the larger Al Mazrah map. Players can expect to face dozens of duos or other squad sizes as the player count is increased to accommodate the map size.

Plunder Arrives In-Season

Originally introduced in Call of Duty: Warzone, Plunder is making a comeback in Warzone 2.0 during Season 03. This respawn-enabled mode pits squads against each other in a mad dash for cash, with the team accumulating the most cash emerging victorious. Players can use their Loadouts from the first drop and will redeploy with a reduced portion of their current cash if eliminated.

New Gulag in Al Mazrah

A new Gulag, known as the Blacksite, will be introduced in Al Mazrah in Season 03. This training ground for Operators offers a rectangular, asymmetrical map with several interior spaces and long external routes.

New and Returning Features to Battle Royale

Warzone 2.0 is introducing new features across all Battle Royale modes, including Redeploy Drones in Al Mazrah, Tempered Plate Carriers, and UAV Towers. Additionally, expect more new and returning features and items to arrive as part of a Mid-Season Update, such as Decontamination Stations and Perk Package Items.

Deployable Buy Station and Gulag Entry Kit

In-Season additions include the Deployable Buy Station, a portable version of the Buy Station with limited stock, and the Gulag Entry Kit, which allows players to re-enter the fight via the Gulag even after their initial visit.

DMZ Overhaul: Barter System, Workbench, and More

The DMZ is getting a significant update with the introduction of the Barter System, allowing players to trade items for valuables, and the Workbench, which enables players to modify Contraband weapons for a fee. Active Duty Operator Slots, a new faction called REDACTED, new and remixed missions, and two new bosses are also coming to Warzone 2.0.

New Operators and Weapons in Season 03

Alejandro and Valeria, two rival characters from the Modern Warfare II campaign, join the roster of Operators in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 online modes with the purchase of the Battle Pass for Season 03. Alejandro Vargas is a dedicated protector, serving in the Mexican Army Special Mission counterterror unit, while Valeria Garza is a former Mexican Army commando who defected to enforce cartels and later became the leader of the Las Almas Cartel. Additional Operators will be added throughout Season 03, reinforcing KorTac and SpecGru.

The Season 03 Battle Pass also introduces a legendary sniper rifle and a brand-new battle rifle, as well as other weapons arriving in-season. The FJX Imperium sniper rifle features hard-hitting .408 rounds, while the Cronen Squall battle rifle is chambered in 6.8 Wrath and designed for distance shooting and exceptional damage output. Two new sidearms will be available within Season 03 Reloaded.

The Trophy Hunt Event kicks off Season 03, where players can earn and exchange trophies for items such as weapon blueprints, vehicle skins, and Battle Pass Token Tier Skips. An exclusive mid-season camo challenge event will also be available.

A new Battle Pass offering, BlackCell, launches in Season 03, replacing the current Battle Pass Bundle. It includes over 7,000 COD Points of value, access to the full Season 03 Battle Pass, 20 Tier Skips, and exclusive content such as a BlackCell Operator and additional Battle Pass content. The Battle Pass also introduces an Automatic Pathing feature, allowing players to unlock content through a more streamlined process.

The Recruit a Friend program rewards players and their friends for welcoming newcomers to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. Completing challenges together can earn both recruits and recruiters rewards, including weapon blueprints, double XP tokens, and calling cards.

Season 03 also increases the Prestige Rank cap to 13 and the level cap to 650. Each new Prestige Rank unlocks a set of challenges that players can complete to earn new Calling Cards.

Modern Warfare II players can access additional content, including Gunfight mode, new Special Ops content, and nine additional Multiplayer maps across various game modes.
