Capcom Showcase Unveils Exoprimal and Street Fighter 6 Updates, Plus More Exciting Game Reveals

The digital broadcast provided fans with new updates on upcoming and recently released games, including exciting information about Exoprimal, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Mega Man X DiVE Offline, Pragmata, and Street Fighter 6.

Exoprimal, the thrilling online team-based action game, took the spotlight at the Capcom Showcase. Fans were thrilled to learn that a second Open Beta Test is just around the corner. Starting on Thursday, June 15th, at 5:00 PM PDT and running until Sunday, June 18th, at 4:59 PM PDT, players on various platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam, will have the opportunity to engage in the Open Beta Test 2. This update introduces new elements, such as 10-player co-op missions and story content that delves deeper into the game’s main mode, Dino Survival. Participants in the Open Beta Test 2 will also receive a special bonus item, the “Flash” Zephyr skin, when they play the full game.

Furthermore, the showcase introduced the Deadeye Alpha: Burst Fire, a new Exosuit variant, as well as a co-op mode called Savage Gauntlet. In Savage Gauntlet, teams of five players will face challenging PvE missions that rotate weekly. Players can not only strive for survival but also compete with squads worldwide to achieve the fastest completion times. Exoprimal is set to release on July 14th for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Additionally, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and Cloud on the day of its launch.

In another exciting announcement, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective made a comeback after thirteen years since its original release. Producer Shu Takumi provided an overview of the game’s mechanics and invited players to explore the thrilling mystery by trying out the demo, now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The demo showcases the powers of the dead, allowing players to possess and manipulate objects to alter the fates of the living.

Pre-orders for Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective are now open on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Players who pre-order will receive additional bonus content, including four side banner images and two background music tracks. PlayStation 4 users who purchase the game before July 31st, 2023, will also have access to the bonus content. The highly anticipated game will officially launch on June 30th, 2023.

Itsuno shared details about combat, Pawns, and gameplay systems that players can expect in the game. The choice of vocation will significantly impact combat, with players having the option to wield swords or cast magick. AI-controlled Pawns, which played a crucial role in the original Dragon’s Dogma, will return in Dragon’s Dogma 2. These Pawns will accompany players on their journey, forming a party of up to four characters. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to customize both their Arisen and their main Pawn. The main Pawn can be recruited by other players’ Arisen, allowing for the sharing of skills and knowledge. The experiences gained by the Pawns through these interactions will shape their behavior, making them valuable companions for players.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes full advantage of the power of the RE ENGINE, offering a world map that is approximately four times the size of its predecessor. The game world is richly populated with enemies, events, and locations that showcase the latest graphical technology. Immersive physics and advanced character AI breathe life into the environment, with Pawns, monsters, and NPCs exhibiting realistic behaviors. Pawns will guide players to new locations, cooperate dynamically during battles, and even react to special moments by celebrating victories together. Players will encounter a diverse range of monsters that will challenge them to devise various strategies for success.
