Watch a new, musical trailer for the feline dating sim meets visual novel (with a little dark comedy stirred in)
Purrfect Date, a surreal adventure in which the player’s human character gets to date cats on a mysterious island, is confirmed to release for PC (Steam) on December 15th 2017.
Developed by Bae Team, a duo of Oliver Hindle (aka YouTube’s Oliver Age 24) and Ruby-Mae Roberts, Purrfect Date’s origins are explained in the game’s new release date trailer, set to another of Oliver’s infectious songs.
Published by Bossa Studios (I Am Bread, Surgeon Simulator), Purrfect Date mixes dark British comedy influences with (decidedly furry) dating sim mechanics. Throughout the game, the player adopts the role of several freshly employed research assistants on an island almost entirely populated by cats, on a mission to uncover the location’s shady history.
Purrfect Date is a truly unique concoction that’s full of twists and turns, and rewards replays with multiple choose-your-own-adventure-style paths through its seven chapters.
