Historic Donation to Propel Veteran Employment

In a landmark moment during Military Appreciation Month, the Call of Duty Endowment announced the reception of the largest single private donation in its 15-year history. Kenneth C. Griffin, the Founder and CEO of Citadel and Griffin Catalyst, contributed a remarkable $2.5 million. This donation is set to significantly bolster the Endowment’s mission, aiming to secure employment for over 4,000 veterans in high-quality jobs. Griffin’s commitment underscores a deep appreciation for veterans’ service and a focus on assisting their transition to the civilian workforce with meaningful employment opportunities.

Launch of Exclusive Gaming Packs to Fund Veteran Jobs

Knight Recon: Tracer Pack

As part of the month’s celebrations, the Endowment has launched the Knight Recon: Tracer Pack in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. This pack includes:

  • Two exclusive operator skins, adding unique visual options for players’ in-game characters.
  • Two tracer weapon blueprints, which not only alter the weapon’s appearance but also its firing effect, making each shot stand out with distinctive colors.
  • Additional items that enhance the gaming experience while supporting a noble cause.

The pack is available on multiple gaming platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, iOS, and Android, ensuring accessibility for a broad player base.

Call of Duty: Mobile Regulator Pack

Simultaneously, the Endowment has introduced the first-ever Call of Duty: Mobile Regulator Pack, which features:

  • Splicer, the Endowment’s pioneering female operator, adding diversity and representation to the game’s character lineup.
  • A special vehicle skin and a calling card, which players can use to personalize their gameplay and display their support for the cause.

100% of net proceeds from sales of these packs will directly fund the Endowment’s ongoing efforts to place veterans into high-quality civilian jobs, making every purchase a contribution to a veteran’s future.

U Assist Veterans Challenge: Engaging the Gaming Community

In-Game Challenge Details

From May 8 through 22, the Endowment is also hosting the U Assist Veterans Challenge presented by USAA in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (including the Zombies mode) and Call of Duty: Warzone. This challenge encourages players to complete specific in-game objectives that contribute directly to veteran employment initiatives. As part of a broader commitment, Activision Blizzard has pledged to allocate $1 million towards these efforts, which will help fund the placement of veterans in jobs through the Endowment.

Since its inception, the Call of Duty Endowment has placed over 125,000 veterans into jobs, creating over $7 billion in economic value from the salaries of these positions. In celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Endowment not only reflects on past successes but also sets ambitious goals for the future. This year alone, the target is to place more than 15,500 veterans into jobs through their various fundraising and awareness efforts.
