-Infrastructure investments have been broadly neglected and maintenance is poor. Infra related decisions often suffer of shortsightedness, corruption and lack of transparency. Sustainable solutions, quality and engineering skills cannot be taken for granted even in Finland, says Mr. Samiola, the Chief Executive Officer of Loiste Interactive.

After completion, INFRA is one of the longest first-person games released over the past couple of years. The game includes about 50 maps and from start to end playtime will average around 50 hours. Every map is unique in terms of environment and puzzles. Replay value is also significant. The game has depth, since there is a lot to find out and solve, describes Mr. Samiola.

INFRA is a result developer team’s joint multi-year effort led by Mr. Samiola. Development of the game started as a hobby about six years ago. The gigantic project has been finished with the help of Finnish sisu (a special attitudinal characteristic of the Finns). At the same time, the teenage hobby has turned into global business on an extremely competitive and turbulent environment.

– INFRA would have never born without entire team’s commitment and investors’ belief in the team. Respect for the players, ambition and strong work ethic have led to an outcome of which team members and investors may be proud of, Mr. Samiola says.

The game includes rich worlds, in which environments and functionalities are complex, realistic and entertaining, as described by players of INFRA parts one and two. High quality of the consumer game provides a solid basis for the company’s new business, so called utility games.

-We will continue to create games like INFRA to consumers. However, we are now focusing our attention to organizations dealing with infrastructure. We assist companies and cities in making use of digitalization and virtualization. Our added value to business development and the execution of public service comes in the form of visualizations and simulations that may be used for example in decision-making, risk management, identity construction, training and promotion of efficiency, explains the chairman of the board, Dr. Iiro Jussila.
