Today Morgan Brown has released the HTML5 demo for Ninja Boy Returns, playable in the browser on itch.io and GameJolt.
This demo exhibits the first three levels of the game, allowing players to get a feel for Ninja Boy and the game as a whole so that they can make a more informed decision regarding their purchase.
Demos have fallen out of fashion lately due to research showing that they generally harm a game’s sales, but Morgan Brown believes in their power both as a marketing tool and as consumer empowerment. Demos worked very well when the player could enjoy a substantial portion of the game freely and easily, such as in the days of flash, and from there decide whether to support the developer in making more of something they love.
The full game will be releasing on 05/10/2017 for $3.99.
