During the Touhou Matsuri event, developer Unknown X and publisher Alliance Arts revealed their latest endeavors in the Touhou universe. Both games, Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost and Touhou Dungeon Maker – The Labyrinth of Heart -, are officially approved derivatives of the Touhou Project.
Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost: A PC Debut
Scheduled to release on February 7th, 2024, on Steam for PC, Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost is transitioning from its origins as a mobile rhythm game. Fans can expect:
- Optimized Experience: The game has been rebuilt for the PC platform, ensuring compatibility with both keyboards and controllers.
- A Fresh Narrative: The PC version presents a unique storyline that differs from its mobile counterpart, where players will strive to restore Phantasia and unravel the mysteries surrounding its downfall.
- Gameplay Enhancements: Features include the “Kagura Stage” mode, allowing players to synchronize with their favorite tracks across six lanes, and an innovative “Danmaku Stage” mode that combines rhythm elements with classic Danmaku shoot ’em up gameplay.
- Music Collaboration: Free downloadable content (DLC) includes the track “U.N. Owen Was Hero?” by renowned composer Toby Fox, in association with Touhou’s creator, ZUN. Furthermore, players can expand their musical library with additional DLC song packs.

In Touhou Dungeon Maker – The Labyrinth of Heart –, players will navigate the eerie dungeons that have materialized throughout Gensokyo. Key features of this game comprise:
- Lore-Driven Challenge: Gensokyo is under threat, with its surface world gradually being overtaken by these mysterious dungeons.
