Diablo IV Dives into Season of Blood and Makes Steam Debut on October 17th

Get Ready to Slay in Season of Blood

Diablo IV is leveling up the hype with the upcoming Season of Blood, launching on October 17. The new season is jam-packed with fresh content for players to sink their teeth into—no pun intended. From an all-new Questline to Vampiric Powers and five extra endgame bosses, the season promises a blood-curdling adventure.

Team up with Vampire Hunter Erys, voiced by film producer and actress Gemma Chan, to take down a menacing new threat—vampire Lord Zir. Players can now acquire Vampiric Powers through a new resource known as Potent Blood, amplified by the required matching Pact Armor. The new season also introduces Blood Seekers, corrupted enemies mimicking player characters and using tainted class skills.

Don’t miss out on the Blood Harvest Season Event, offering the best odds for scoring Potent Blood and Pact Armor drops. The event will put you against hordes of vampires and Blood Seekers across various Sanctuary regions.

Once the current Season of the Malignant concludes, players’ Seasonal characters will transfer to the Eternal Realm, and their stashed items will shift to a new Withdraw Only Stash tab.

Endgame Gets Epic with Five New Bosses

When you think you’ve had your fill of demon-slaying, the season offers five fresh endgame bosses to challenge. Brace yourselves to face The Beast in the Ice, Dark Master, Varshan, Echo of Duriel, and Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint.

Quality-of-Life Upgrades in Patch 1.2.0

The game isn’t just about new content; it’s also getting significant quality-of-life upgrades with Patch 1.2.0. For the newbies who want to jump straight into seasonal action, skipping the Campaign is now an option after completing the Prologue. Renown rewards now roll over from season to season, letting you stockpile perks like extra skill points, potion charges, and murmuring obols.

XP gains have been cranked up, enabling players to reach Level 100 approximately 40% quicker than in Season of the Malignant. Nightmare Dungeons also see improvements, such as teleportation options and increased monster density.

Diablo IV Joins the Steam Family

Starting October 17, Diablo IV will expand its platform horizons by becoming available on Steam, in addition to existing platforms like Battle.net, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation® 5, and PlayStation® 4. The Steam version will feature cross-play and cross-save across all platforms. To get in on this action, purchase the game on Steam and link it to a Battle.net account.

Steam users will also have access to native features like Steam achievements and the Steam friends list, allowing for smooth in-game invites.

TL;DR

Diablo IV’s Season of Blood launches on October 17, complete with a new Questline, Vampiric Powers, and five additional endgame bosses. Quality-of-life upgrades are also in the pipeline with Patch 1.2.0. Plus, the game makes its debut on Steam, adding another layer to its multi-platform presence. Get ready for some serious grinding, gamers.
