Square Enix has just launched FOAMSTARS, a fresh and fizzy 4v4 shooter, shaking up the PlayStation® universe. Exclusively available to PlayStation Plus members until March 4, 2024, this game introduces a unique twist to the shooter genre, blending competitive gameplay with whimsical foam party aesthetics. Available at no extra charge for PS+ subscribers, FOAMSTARS promises endless fun on both PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 platforms.
Season 1: Starry Pop Kicks Off
The inaugural season, dubbed “Starry Pop,” is now live, bringing an array of content and events to the game. Players can climb the ranks in the solo and team-based Ranked Parties, tackle unique challenges in Extreme Party modes, and unwind in the Happy FriYAY Party, a stress-free zone to test new characters like the upcoming Coiff Guy.
What’s in Store for FOAMSTARS Seasons
With a commitment to keeping the party going, FOAMSTARS will roll out free seasonal updates throughout the year. Each five-week season introduces a new character, maps, events, and cosmetic items, keeping the game fresh and engaging. The game features a Season Pass system, rewarding players with exclusive items as they earn XP and advance through tiers. A Premium Season Pass option spices up the deal, offering immediate character unlocks and special cosmetics for $5.99.
Looking Ahead
Post-promotion, FOAMSTARS will be up for grabs at $29.99 starting March 5, 2024, in the PlayStation® Store. A PlayStation Plus subscription is required to join the foam-filled festivities.
