Electronic Arts Inc. and EA SPORTS have announced the release of F1 23, the official game of the FIA Formula One World Championship, on June 16th, 2023. The game will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam. F1 23 features every team, driver, and circuit for the 2023 season, including the highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix and Lusail International Circuit, Qatar. Max Verstappen, back-to-back World Champion, will grace the cover of the digital-exclusive F1 23 Champions Edition.

F1 23 reintroduces the epic story mode, Braking Point, which offers a unique perspective on the world of Formula 1 alongside the authentic racing experience fans have come to expect. According to Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters, the close relationship with F1 teams has allowed developers to refine the handling model, enhancing realism for pad-play, and implementing a new color encoding system to create a more true-to-life experience.

The Braking Point story mode returns with a new chapter, following the careers of Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler as teammates in the Konnersport Racing Team. The narrative features new characters, fresh rivalries, and racing challenges as both protagonists strive to take their careers to the next level.

F1 23’s handling has undergone significant improvements since the last season, providing more predictable behavior and better traction during braking, acceleration, and cornering. Real F1 team feedback has been incorporated to achieve a more realistic balance between aerodynamics and tire grip. Engine torque and inertia improvements also result in a more authentic throttle control and a greater connection to the car. The Precision Drive™ controller technology further enhances control for pad players during crucial race moments.

Responding to community feedback, F1 23 introduces a 35% race distance option and red flags for added strategic elements. The game also features the full 2023 season calendar, including Las Vegas and Lusail, as well as three legacy circuits – Paul Ricard (France), Shanghai (China), and Portimão (Portugal).

The F1 World hub offers a fresh experience with content inspired by the real-world calendar, combining multiple game modes such as Time Trial and Grand Prix. A new progression system allows players to level up by completing challenges and unlocking car upgrades, liveries, race suits, and helmets. A safety rating system encourages clean racing and pairs like-minded drivers for improved online experiences.

The digital-exclusive F1 23 Champions Edition comes with time-limited Las Vegas content, Max Verstappen Race Wear Pack, Braking Point 2 Icons and Vanity Item Pack, Dual Entitlement, four new My Team Icons, an XP Boost, F1® World Bumper Pack, 18,000 PitCoin, and three days of early access starting on June 13th. A physical and digital Standard Edition featuring EA SPORTS ambassador Charles Leclerc alongside Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris will be available from June 16th, with an F1 World Starter Pack and 5,000 PitCoin for those who pre-order.

Get ready for the ultimate racing experience with F1 23, launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
