Microids, Microids Lyon/Paris Studios, and Paul Cuisset have recently unveiled a new trailer for Flashback 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the legendary video game, Flashback, which was first released in 1992. The platform shooter, which offers a mix of exploration, puzzle-solving, and adventure, is set to launch in November 2023 on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (digital). In addition to the standard edition, Flashback 2 will also be available in both Collector and Limited Editions.
In 1992, Flashback revolutionized the action gaming landscape and secured a place among the top 100 video games in history. Paul Cuisset, the original creator of Flashback, has collaborated with Microids Lyon/Paris studios to develop Flashback 2. The sequel promises an experience faithful to the original Flashback universe and reunites some members of the original Flashback team, such as Thierry Perreau in game design and Raphaël Gesqua, the renowned composer of the Amiga version of Flashback.
