Four New DLC Characters Join the Fight for a Total of 58 Combatants in THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV!
THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV received four new DLC characters for this month, so players can switch up their teams with these new combatants! These characters are available now for $5.99 each or can be purchased in a bundle for $19.99. Learn about the new DLC fighters below.
First off we have the card-wielding Oswald. Oswald is a very composed gentleman and a former hitman very well known in the underworld society. He has mastered the Karnoffel assassination art and uses playing cards to slice and dice his opponents. As a veteran poker player, he never shows his hand.
The next character is the mercenary commander Heidern. He fights his enemies using a combination of martial arts and self-taught assassination techniques. As a military officer, Heidern is always calm and silent, but can be very paternal to his adopted daughter, Leona.
There’s also a totally new character entering the tournament, Najd. Quiet and reserved, Najd wears an Abaya, a traditional Saudi garment, but one with extraordinary powers. At night, she puts on her Abaya and turns into a vigilante to protect her fellow citizens. In contrast to her mysterious appearance, she is a college student during the day.
The fourth DLC character is the fan favorite Blue Mary. Making her living as a freelance special agent, Blue Mary was born into a family known for being accomplished martial artists. She is a specialist in multiple types of martial arts, especially the Sambo fighting style, which excels at grappling moves.
In addition to the DLC characters, there’s a new patch available. This new update (ver. 3.0) to KOF XIV features not only numerous rebalancing changes, but also a brand new background stage based in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) for even more battles!
Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, appears in the game as a brand new stage with an interesting mix of modern and traditional styles. It features the Masmak fort in the foreground with modern skyscrapers adoring the background. This new stage is available for free as part of the 3.0 update.
