GameCo, Inc. Secures License Agreement to Develop Skill-Based Video Game Gambling Machines (VGM™) Featuring Grammy®-Nominated DJ and Esports Organization Owner, Steve Aoki

Futuristic, first-person infinite runner game to be titled “Steve Aoki’s Neon Dream”

GameCo Inc., creator of the world’s first skill-based video game gambling machine (VGM™), announces a license agreement with Steve Aoki, allowing the company to develop an original new game titled “Steve Aoki’s Neon Dream.”

Scheduled to debut in casinos late summer 2017, the game is inspired by Aoki’s 2014 “Neon Future” album and its underlying soundscapes. The first-person game will blend the nearly effortless controls of an infinite runner with the sensational, transcendental experience of Aoki’s music. Players will fly over an endless track through a world of color and shape, collecting coins, avoiding barriers, while listening to various house and electronic dance music (EDM) titles from Aoki’s Dim Mak label.

This announcement comes off heels of Aoki’s chart-topping album release, Steve Aoki Presents Kolony, which debuted at #1 Album on the iTunes US Electronic Chart on July 21. With countless collaborations from some of hip-hop’s biggest figures, KOLONY is stacked with hard-hitting rhymes from some of the most prominent lyricists today, including Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Migos, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, T Pain, ILOVEMAKONNEN and more. On July 27, Aoki also debuted the second official music video for KOLONY for his hit track “Night Call” featuring Migos and Lil Yachty.

“I can’t wait for my fans to see what GameCo has done with Neon Dreams!” said AOKI, the Grammy-nominated DJ and Producer. “Using Dim Mak’s music, and a host of images from our collection, the video game really is a neon dream and I’m proud to be working with GameCo as we revolutionize the gaming floor.”

“In addition to being recognized as an EDM Superstar, Steve is a co-owner of Rogue, a Las Vegas-based esports organization,” said Blaine Graboyes, GameCo’s CEO. “We saw utilizing his passion for video games, his involvement with the esports industry, and connection to the casino gaming industry as the perfect fit for developing a game for our skill-based video game gambling machines.”

Rogue launched in 2016 with the signing of an esports “Overwatch” team and since then, has expanded with esports teams who play games including “CS:GO,” “Call of Duty,” “H1Z1,” and “Vainglory.”

GameCo’s VGMs combine the experience of playing video games with the excitement of gambling to create new gaming entertainment experiences for the gaming floor. The company’s patented arcade-style VGM cabinets feature a single-player 45-90 second video game adapted from top console, PC, and mobile games that allow a player’s skill to determine the payout and winnings, while maintaining the same casino-based economics as slot machines. As skill-based slot machine technology emerges as the next generation of casino gaming, VGMs provide casino operators with a more diverse gaming environment to attract new players and generate incremental casino revenue.

Throughout 2017, GameCo expects to continue its position as the market leader in skill-based gaming with the release of 10 or more new VGM titles, including games under license from major game developers and entertainment IP companies such as “Star Trek” from CBS Consumer Products, Paramount’s “Mission Impossible” and “Paranormal” brands, and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” from StudioCanal S.A.S.

GameCo changed history in November 2016 when it became the first skill-based gaming company in the world to debut its video game gambling machine on casino floors in Atlantic City. Since then, the company has moved into its second gaming jurisdiction in the U.S. by deploying VGMs atFoxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, and plans to be operational in most major U.S. gambling jurisdictions by the end of 2017.

GameCo’s proprietary video game gambling platform was approved by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the industry’s leading testing and compliance certification agency, under the GLI-11 v 2.1 standard, providing a clear path to market in most jurisdictions that currently operate electronic poker or blackjack machines.
