Gfinity Elite Series Scores EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series Qualifying Spots

“We are excited to be welcoming the Gfinity Elite Series into the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series,” said Brent Koning, FIFA Competitive Gaming Commissioner.  “As we continue to engage millions of FIFA players in the community, and attract millions of viewers from all around the world, this year will be truly special as we see the best from the Elite Series on the Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018.”

Aspiring competitive FIFA players will now have an opportunity to be drafted by one of the Elite Series professional franchises by competing in the Gfinity Challenger Series kicking-off on January 8th. The top 40 ranked players at the end of the six week Challenger Season will become eligible for the Elite Draft, taking place on February 23rd.   • Challenger Series has had over 20,000 18-35-year-old players participate from 18 different countries
  • Elite Series Season 1 created 180 hours of live broadcast viewed by over 3M people in more than 30 countries
  • Through the first seven weeks of Elite Series Season 2, total views were 3.64M showing a 40% increase on Elite Series Season 1 viewership
