GTA V review – free version

The Grand Theft Auto universe has 15 episodes. Each action corresponds to different periods. For example, GTA 2, released in 1999, talks about 2013, as does GTA V, which we are talking about today. In the fifth part, we meet with familiar trends and events. Selfie on smartphones, reality shows about those who are trying to become a celebrity, and all that GTA fans love is an incredible action game in a virtualized modern world.

The PC version, as always, has been waiting for a long time. The release was postponed several times, but now it’s up for grabs on the Epic Games launcher. Generally speaking, you have to go through 62 missions, which will expand to 69, depending on the adoption of critical decisions. A game can have three endings. All this is spread out over an area almost four times larger than the entire state from GTA San Andreas, or eight times larger than the territory of Liberty City from GTA IV.

In GTA V there are three main characters at once. Two of them are old-fashioned gangsters with experience, and the third is a teenage gangsta.

Michael de Santa (real name – Michael Townley) is with his family under the protection of government agencies and owns a couple of million dollars. He lives in a rich area of Rockford Hills (a gaming analog of Beverly Hills).

Trevor Philips, his best friend, is a former Air Force pilot and mentally unstable. He hates neighbors-hillocks (rednecks) from the desert. These same redneck neighbors are panicky afraid of him.

Franklin Clinton is an African American, before meeting with Michael he works for an Armenian criminal car dealer, a novice participant in the ghetto wars lives on Grove Street (GTA San Andreas).

Each hero has a unique charm and image. You can switch between the characters by yourself, but sometimes in missions, a script will do this for you. For example, while one breaks into a building, the second covers it from a sniper rifle from an adjacent roof. In the end, you control both.

One of the main qualities of the game is the abundance of mini-games. You can play everything from darts to golf, which makes GTA 5 even more compelling. And as we are talking about gangsters and money, the game also offers access to casinos. You can play various games in the casino, and supposedly developers at some point were so “obsessed” with making the game even realistic that they had in mind to include free spins casino opportunities for gamers, but the plan has not materialized. However, it did nothing bad for the game overall.

The heroes in the game have their special abilities: Michael shoots in bullet time (like Max Payne), Franklin drives transport in bullet time, and Trevor falls into a rage – does more damage and takes less. To replenish the scale of ability, you need to scorch, drive at maximum speed, and hit opponents in the head. The remaining skills are general and made by analogy with the previous series: driving, endurance, lung capacity, shooting, etc.

You can apply all this during missions. For example, robberies have variability and are included in the online version in a separate mode. You can rob the bank in the forehead or, having seized the moment, replace the guard. With any option, you are provided with action and adrenaline.

In addition to assignments, in Los Santos and its environs you can kill a lot of time: do tattoos and hairstyles, tune cars like NFS Underground, go to a strip club and pubs, rob cash trucks, buy a tank, or in a civilian way – take rent a bike. Unlike the linear principle, when you don’t have money for all this at the beginning of the game, here the heroes quickly make a fortune that you can spend.

The pace of the game is very high. Having recovered from the frantic pursuit of the mission, even on the way home, you can stumble into anything. To die in an accident is simple, and it does not matter if you are a pedestrian or a driver. The car will explode from a strong blow, and fall from a motorcycle at a speed of 200.

The management of any transport is mastered in a couple of minutes. This applies to cars, tractors, tow trucks, planes, helicopters, and even submarines. That is, the transport control is an arcade, but it is specially made for entertainment and maintaining the pace of the game.

In a couple of minutes in GTA V, there are so many events that it’s enough for a cheaper video for a computer game. You walk the dog, throw the ball at the peasant – and he attacks you.

Avoiding the police is now a little different. For a minor violation, they give you the first star. If you start to run away – immediately the second, ostensibly for resistance during the detention. The sixth star was removed, but an army with tanks on a protracted fifth is involved.

The game is one of those that keeps you in the plot, not letting go for a minute. This is a film where you act as a movie machine for scrolling the film. Missions narrate with virtually no temporary gaps. Video inserts with original texts give a momentary respite and immediately plunge headlong into new events.

The GTA world casually slips you an escape from the police when driving two robbers, or participating in a bike ride with an abnormal feminist. This whole action movie is so dynamic that, probably, that is why it became possible to remain on the go, right from your mobile phone.

At the end of the game, you will be shown statistics in the form of a diagnosis of a psychiatrist: how cruel, purposeful, and balanced.

The game is so well made that even the trio of protagonists themselves look interesting. They did not meet by chance, were not friends from the beginning, the scriptwriters brought them together exactly as they brought them together, and only this originality makes them dig into the details of the game and delve into each new frame with rapture. GTA 5 is undoubtedly one of the best games of all time, that is recommended for every gamer.
