In less than a month, fans and pro players alike will come together to celebrate Hi-Rez Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. Are you ready for the biggest Hi-Rez event of the year? We’ve got you covered! Read on for the complete HRX Survival Guide.
Getting Organized: What To Bring
- Make sure to wear flat, comfortable shoes – there will be lots to see and do!
- Bring a camera! Tag your pics on Twitter and Instagram with #HRX and we might share your photo!
- Pack a jacket and bundle up! Atlanta temperatures from 35 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit in January
- Wear your best cosplay to compete in the HRX Cosplay Contest (prize pool of $15,000)!
Getting There:
- HRX will be held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339). Click here for Directions and Parking information.
What To Do:
- Get to Atlanta early – check in and spend some time around the city. Most of all, get prepared for four exciting days!
- Check out the HRX Cosplay Contest on Saturday to see some of the incredible skill and creativity of Hi-Rez fans.
- Find time to relax. Have fun in-between and after matches by playing your favorite Hi-Rez games, meeting developers, shopping for swag, watching cosplayers, and spending time with one of the best communities in the world.
- This year, we have two stages – our main stage and the ballroom stage. Keep an eye on the schedule to make sure you catch as much of your favorite teams/games as you can!
- Meet new people! There will be plenty of familiar Hi-Rez Studios faces, so don’t be shy – say hi. There will also be scheduled meet-ups (schedule will be posted closer to the event) for a chance to meet your favorite teams, streamers, YouTubers, and more!
Eating, Drinking, and Nightlife:
- Drink plenty of water – stay hydrated to get the most out of your weekend!
- You can find food at concession stands in the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Additionally, local food trucks will park outside the venue and offer a variety of options while you’re at HRX!
- After the games, check out Battle and Brew – Atlanta’s geek bar and restaurant. Battle and Brew is one of our favorite spots; it’s a great place to unwind at the end of the day and hang out with Hi-Rez fans and employees!
- On Sunday night, join Hi-Rez Studios and the teams of the 2017 HRX for the Official HRX After Party! Tickets are $35.
