Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”The same can be said for NetEase’s latest mobile grand strategy game Immortal Conquest. The game has gone from strength to strength since its initial release, and now the wargame looks to expand its borders.
Following several recent updates, the game that pits Immortal gods and their legions of mortals against each other is quickly rising to become the most tactical strategy game on mobile platforms. Players have the creative freedom to follow their own playstyle and focus on economic power, military dominance, or diplomatic strategy.
“We have implemented several systems that allow the game a more realistic warfare game, almost to the point of a simulation. We combined the art of war using real-life tactics such as supply routes, an in-depth territory expansion system and army makeup with game theory and player freedom. This creates a game where players must use real tactics to expand and grow but also offers creative freedom so players can use diplomacy, warfare, or even become opportunistic and strike when others are weakened.” said Michael Que, NetEase Game Overseas Publishing Head. “Ultimately we continue to build the most hardcore wargame on mobile with the depth and freedom never before seen in the genre.”
Recently, new Gairo (Heroes of Power) were released including the King of Sparta himself: Leonidas. Players can utilize Gairos to lead troops into battle with powerful abilities and team them up with others to create powerful combinations to take down enemy forces. This coupled with a massive amount of Gairos and unit types gives players the tactical depth to really make their armies a force to be reckoned with.
Alongside several updates and additions, Season Three has just begun with the endgame objective of “winner takes all”. Immortal Conquest has a single objective for players: take the mystical city of Delphi. Players must use every tactic possible including forming and betraying others to achieve the crown jewel city.
During Seasons, the competitiveness of Immortal Conquest will be at its highest. When the objective of a season is achieved by one or a few alliances, those players win that season’s rewards and the glory of ultimate victory. The map then refreshes and the race for global domination begins again. Season Three will also see several game updates and new Gairos release exclusively for season three and will be unavailable after the season ends.
