Northern Irish indie developer Outsider Games has unveiled their latest project, Tax-Force, a narrative action rogue-lite game with intriguing political simulation elements. This comic book inspired title focuses on challenging themes such as economic effects of government policy and corporate responsibility.
The Premise of Tax-Force
The Galaxy is in grave financial trouble. To prevent the catastrophic shutdown of Farset13’s Solar Shield, players are invited to lead Tax-Force, an elite department of heavily armed Treasurers. These treasurers are granted emergency powers to pursue billionaire mutant tax evaders.
Players have a mere 7 days to navigate through defenses, negotiate repayments, clear the debt directly, or strategically reinvest in the city to grow the economy. The fate of the planet hangs in the balance, and every decision counts.

Melee Combat
Tax-Force emphasizes close-range, hand-to-hand combat, providing a challenging experience with rogue-lite biomes that change with every run.

Every choice leads to narrative consequences for Farset13 citizens, as their stories are guided by player decisions. The city organically grows and changes, reflecting the choices made.
Timeloop
A unique time-traveling mutant power allows players to revert to Day 1 after death, armed with knowledge of enemies and previous actions.
