Deep Rock Galactic is enlisting enterprising dwarves from November 9th to 12th in Steam Open Alpha for the final round of equipment testing for PC. Xbox One miners can also offer their expertise for the first time at Paris Games Week from November 1st to 5th
October 25th, 2017 Stockholm, Sweden: Deep Rock Galactic enforcers Coffee Stain Publishing and Ghost Ship Games today announce that they need equipment tested by as many dwarves as possible. The testing initiative invites everyone who has signed up before midnight on November 6th to join the Steam Open Alpha from November 9th to 12th, experience with firearms highly desireable. After this, all testing initiatives for the broader population of Earth will cease until early 2018 when Deep Rock Galactic lands on Steam Early Access and Game Preview on the Xbox/Windows 10 Store.
To ensure player safety in the Open Alpha, Deep Rock Galactic has limited access to a smaller set of the caves of Hoxxes IV to First Dive, Lost Overhang and Infested Chasms, but for the most daring of dwarves there is a brand new mission type that needs testing. In ‘Motherlode’ players are invited to join their bearded brethren in gathering unique and invaluable resources in an extremely perilous Glyphid breeding ground! The smaller cave introduced in Motherlode puts players in constant danger as hordes of the dwarf hungry monsters constantly attack.
Deep Rock Galactic first began recruiting brave space mining dwarves when it enter Closed Alpha on Steam in December 2016. The co-op shooter takes up to 4 players through perilous procedurally generated caves in search of valuable and rare minerals. Players take up arms as one of four classes of badass dwarven miners, each with their own invaluable set of skills. The Driller, the Engineer, the Scout and the Gunner must work together to survive a relentless onslaught of space beasts and escape the caves with their bounty intact.
As well as the new perils introduced to PC players in the Open Alpha, adventurous dwarves will be able to trial the Deep Rock Galactic experience on Xbox One for the first time at Paris Games Week from November 1st to 5th. The Steam Open Alpha test will run on Steam from November 9th (1:00 PM – CEST) to November 12th (10:00 PM – CEST)
Deep Rock Galactic will be playable on Xbox One for the first time at the Xbox booth, located in Hall 1, E 016 at Paris Games Week from November 1st to November 5th.
