Alpha Dog Games releases monstrous update for its strategy game ‘MonstroCity: Monster Battle Rampage!’ currently featured on the App Store.
Battle players from around the world and destroy their cities to become the ultimate Mad Scientist! Steal their gold and increase your city population while competing in weekly leagues. MonstroCity is inspired by pop culture monsters crushing cities with special powers controlled by the player. “The most unique part of the game is the attacking controls, with every monster being a hero and having a unique ability,” says Shawn Woods, Co-Founder & Creative Director of Alpha Dog Games. “Players change up their squad and find the most effective monster deck for their play style.”
Built using Unreal Engine on their proprietary platform, Alpha Dog has avidly supported the game. “We have regularly been adding new features since we launched in February,” says Jeff Cameron, Co-Founder & Development Director of Alpha Dog. “Every update has made the game stronger, better balanced, and more fun.”
The update includes new defense types that allow players to swap their turrets with variations that offer players a unique strategy. Change your Cannon into a Flame, or AA Gun into a Gatling Gun! Additional new monsters include the unicorn Rainbow One with a fabulous healing ability and new monster skin Farmer Dinky! Build road paths for your Police and Fire Trucks to drive on and attack monsters or heal your buildings. No walls required!
“Our community has grown significantly and is very passionate in the Slack channels,” says Woods. “We are approaching 4 million attacks and our metrics have improved significantly with every update.”
This update also uses Apple Replay Kit for sharing videos and posting on social media, as well as fun Stickers of the monsters to send to friends in iMessage.
