Netmarble, the titan in the mobile gaming arena, pushes the envelope further with a colossal update for THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR. This update not only adds a new rarity tier called Ultimate but also introduces the long-awaited Ash Saga into the game’s lore.
Ultimate Fighters with Phantom Awakening
In the latest update, Netmarble unveils Ultimate or UE grade fighters with unique abilities that begin at maximum potential. A defining feature of these fighters is the exclusive skill called Phantom Awakening. This skill enables Phantom Mode where each UE grade fighter experiences an upsurge in their stats. Further enhancing their prowess, UE grade fighters gain a UE skill upon entering Phantom Mode, augmenting their PUE Skill (Phantom Ultimate Skill).
Meet the First Ultimate Fighters: Ash Crimson and Maki Kagura
Leading the charge in this new tier is UE Ash Crimson, characterized by a Green element and Attack type. His leader skill amps up the ATK for Green element fighters. Additionally, he brings a special skill to the table, which increases Blast skill damage upon landing Active Skills on Elite and Boss monsters.
Joining Ash Crimson is UE Maki Kagura, branded with a Red element and Defense type. Maki Kagura features a stacking buff activated upon using an active skill. Once she accumulates a certain number of buffs, she unlocks a special buff that momentarily boosts her ATK and Active Skill DMG.
Ash Saga: The Wait is Over
The update also marks the commencement of the Ash Saga, an iconic story arc within the KING OF FIGHTERS universe. This new scenario will evolve over time, providing players with refreshed versions of scenarios after clearing each chapter. As a bonus, players can also collect various rewards and clear missions simultaneously.
Tower of Illusion and Plugins: A New Challenge
Another fresh addition is the Tower of Illusion, a challenge designed for players to test their mettle with high-level stages. Accompanying this is a new equipment item called Plugins. These Plugins can be obtained from a new farming dungeon, known as Plugin Plant. The Plugins serve to enhance fighters of all grades, aiming to optimize their stats for the Tower of Illusion.

To facilitate team enhancement, the Returning Rubies event has been rolled out. Players stand to regain up to 54,000 Rubies in accordance to the amount spent during the event timeframe. Moreover, both new and returning players can cash in on an extra 20,000 Rubies.
