Spooky Vibes with Halloween Terror and Trials of Sanctuary

Hold onto your controllers, gamers! Overwatch 2’s Season 7: Rise of Darkness launches on October 10th, and it’s looking darker and spookier than ever. The season kicks off with a new Blizzard crossover game mode called Trials of Sanctuary. Descend into the Burning Hells and battle against demons as one of six unique heroes like Demon Hunter Sombra or Barbarian Zarya. Expect challenging bosses such as Azmodan Wrecking Ball, Butcher Roadhog, and even Lilith Moira.

Haunting Returns and Fresh Rewards

If you’ve been missing those Halloween vibes, Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride are making a comeback. The event runs from October 10 to November 1 and lets you rack up Battle Pass XP, Overwatch Credits, and a bunch of creepy cosmetics. For a limited time, you can also use Overwatch Credits to unlock new heroes including Sojourn and Junker Queen. Don’t slack, these deals vanish on November 7.

Samoa: The Island with Lava Dips

Ready to get tropical while dodging deadly pitfalls? Season 7 brings you Samoa, a brand new control map featuring tropical beaches, quaint villages, and a live volcano. The map is playable in a dedicated Arcade card from the get-go, and will make its way to Quick Play and Competitive Play as the season unfolds.

Loot All The Spooky Goodies

Dive into a creepy collection of loot through this season’s Battle Pass. You’ll be turning heads with Epic skins like Victorian Ghost Lucio and Crimson Clown Soldier: 76. And if you’re brave enough to conquer all 80 tiers, the Mythic Onryō Hanzo skin is yours. For those opting for the Premium Battle Pass, Legendary skins like Azmondan Wrecking Ball and Diesel Barron Ramattra are up for grabs.

Sombra: Now with More Hacktitude

Sombra mains, you’re in for a treat. This season introduces a reworked ability kit that makes her more engaging to play. Key changes include the removal of Opportunist and modifications to her Stealth ability. She also gains a new Virus skill shot that does damage over time and doubles if the target is already hacked.

Balancing Acts and Route 66 Rides

Apart from Sombra, other heroes are getting their tweaks and adjustments. Mei, for instance, reverts to her older kit, and Zarya’s Projectile Barrier gets balanced. Expect changes to other heroes like Orisa, Ramattra, and Cassidy. Additionally, Route 66 map receives modifications aimed at improving attacker exits, choke points, and overall map dynamics.
