Hey G-LYFE Nation, unholster those fangs ’cause we got some news fresh out the coffin! Paradox Interactive confirmed at PAX West that they’re teaming up with The Chinese Room, a studio under the Sumo Digital umbrella, to resurrect the highly-awaited Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. A gameplay reveal is slated for January 2024, with the official drop landing in Fall 2024.

The Chinese Room: Not Just New Blood

You might know The Chinese Room for their mind-bending first-person narratives that have bagged numerous accolades from BAFTA, TIGA, and more. Their track record shows they’re no strangers to crafting dark, intricate tales. For those asking if they can handle the World of Darkness, Ed Daly, Studio Director at The Chinese Room, assures, “Bloodlines 2 is our most ambitious project to date,” and adds that they are bringing over 15 years of award-winning experience to the dark Seattle settings of the game.

Source Material? Respected!

It ain’t just about slapping on a vampiric coat of paint; The Chinese Room is deeply invested in the World of Darkness setting. Sean Greaney, Vice President of World of Darkness at Paradox Interactive, stated, “They have a true passion for the source material, making them ideal partners to develop a story in the Vampire: The Masquerade setting.”

What’s Brewing in Seattle’s Dark Corners?

For those who didn’t catch the first Bloodlines, here’s the low-down. Bloodlines 2 serves as the next chapter to its predecessor, taking you into the gritty and dark streets of Seattle. You play an Elder vampire, mingling with intriguing characters, navigating complex political scenarios, and engaging in intense combat. Just don’t forget about the Masquerade, the vampire code that keeps the supernatural hidden from humans; break it, and you’re toast.

Stay Tuned, Nightwalkers!

This high-stakes, high-fangtasy game promises to be more than just another sequel. With a gameplay reveal set for January 2024 and a Fall 2024 release date, the anticipation is as thick as blood. Till then, keep your eyes peeled and your fangs sharp!
