SEGA’s PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2 NEW GENESIS Unveils Exciting August Updates
SEGA, the developer behind the widely popular free-to-play online action RPG, PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2 NEW GENESIS, has revealed its upcoming August updates through a new NGS Headline. This program aims to provide players with essential information about current operations, future updates, and campaigns in the game. The August updates promise to deliver thrilling new content, including Chapter 6 Part 2 of the Main Story, Alliance Spaces, limited time quests, and more. Chapter 6 Part 2
August 2 marks the release of Chapter 6 Part 2 of the Main Story. In this latest installment, players will be treated to an intriguing meeting of region leaders, where Crawford announces the return of Manon. Excitement ensues as Aina looks forward to reuniting with Manon and joining forces once again. However, uncertainty looms over the future of the three main characters. Additionally, players can enjoy Mini Episodes that provide insights into each character’s reactions following the battle on Leciel.
Alliance Spaces
Introducing Alliance Spaces, a New Creative Space for Alliances. Soon, Alliances with four or more members will have access to these interactive and engaging spaces, separate from their personal Creative Spaces. Alliance Spaces offer a fun environment for communication, and to facilitate this, an Alliance Bulletin Board can be set up for easy communication among Alliance Members.
Moreover, a new Retem theme will be available, allowing players to transform the appearance of their island from the previous Aelio look to a Retem motif. This includes Build Parts that help players recreate the ambiance of the Retem Region, available for purchase with Genesis Points.
Additionally, players can now access Build Parts from PSO2 Furnishings, purchasable with SG. One unique element among them is the Conveyor Belt, which enables players to move swiftly along the floor, enhancing gameplay dynamics.
Leciel Exploration
Embark on an exciting adventure with Leciel Exploration, a new large-scale standing content, designed for up to eight players. This quest is set on the floating island of Leciel, a location previously visited in the Main Story. To provide players with an edge, special Ability Buffs are available throughout the quest. Players must acquire as many Ability Buffs as possible within the time limit to face and defeat the formidable boss enemy lurking at the deepest level.
The challenge lies in adapting to a random map, requiring different strategies for each playthrough. Success hinges on mutual coordination and cooperation among friends. While the difficulty level is slightly higher than regular quests, players will be rewarded based on the damage they inflict on the boss enemy, even if they fail to defeat it within the time limit. The bosses, Ruine Ragne and Ruine Hyunal, belong to the new Ruinus enemy type and unleash powerful attacks, requiring players to stay vigilant.
Verschmelz Series
Prepare for the Arrival of the Verschmelz Series, a new set of 9-star-Rarity weapons, easier to obtain with an effect that guarantees critical attacks. Players can now explore the best combinations of Preset Skills and Augments to optimize their combat potential.
Furthermore, the 8-star-Rarity unit, Octo Armor, makes its debut alongside the new Growthment item, which can be exchanged for the 9-star-Rarity Verschmelz weapons and the 8-star-Rarity Octo Armor unit at the Growthment Exchange with Item Traders. Players can also acquire Growthment through Daily Task rewards, providing additional opportunities to obtain great gear.
Blazing Battle and A Ruins Interception
Engage in two thrilling limited-time quests: Blazing Battle and A Ruins Interception. The former is set on Kanai Isle in the Aelio Region and can be played by up to four players. The objective is to destroy all the enemies that appear across multiple waves within the given time limit. Players can increase the time limit by defeating a certain number of target enemies strategically placed around the island, making effective use of Sky Lifters and other field mechanics.
The latter, a new 24-player limited-time quest, takes players to the Belugana Ruins, where they face the Megalotix versions of Crocodylis Vera and Ams Vera. The boss enemies are backed up by additional foes during combat, making teamwork and strategic planning crucial for victory.
