The Closed Beta Test, known as The Utopia Test, offers players a glimpse of what the full game will entail. It comprises the prologue and the first three chapters of Reverse: 1999. Players will be introduced to Vertin, the Timekeeper, as well as her assistant and friend, Sonetto. Alongside quixotic pirate radio DJ Regulus and her talking apple familiar, players will join the team and set out on a quest to escape the menacing Manus Vindictae, a mysterious arcanist faction.

Chapter 3 delves into the enigmatic past of Vertin as players learn about the SPDM, the School Of Primary Defense Of Mankind. This academy for arcanist children claims to prepare them for an impending conflict. But questions arise: Does the SPDM genuinely work for the welfare and peace of humanity? The answers lie within the captivating story that unfolds.
Strategic RPG Combat
The Closed Beta also showcases the rich and accessible strategic RPG combat of Reverse: 1999. Players will utilize the spinning wheel in Vertin’s base, a pocket dimension hidden within her suitcase. By summoning arcanists from different time periods, each attuned to an elemental arcanum, players can master the Afflatus system and balance party abilities between Mineral, Plant, Beast, Spirit, and Star skills. By strategically combining skills, players can unleash powerful Ultimate Attacks fueled by Moxie, the essence of their spectacular moves.
