Robonauts is a super fun action shooter with an out of this world soundtrack by Simon Viklund who has also composed the soundtrack for the PAYDAY games and the eagerly awaited PAYDAY 2 is also coming to the Nintendo Switch. The music isn’t all that is great about this unique indie as it also has some great gameplay which is spread across 12 different planetary systems which each host their own challenges.
The art style might fool you for an easy game targeted at younger children but its quite the opposite as I found myself facing the dreaded game over screen quite a few times. It’s not all doom and gloom though as you can jump straight back into the fun all be it you have to start the beginning of the planetary system you died on. If you are struggling however and you feel like you need a helping hand you can change the difficulty to easy or grab a friend for some multiplayer action as well.
To Tackle the enemies you can equip weapons to aid your advancement, these include some really fun weapons to use and my personal favorite is the one that looks like a firework and does some devastating damage when the fragments fall from the sky creating a bed of fire which destroys all the enemies in your path.
I would highly recommend you pickup Robonauts as it’s such a charming game that anyone can play as it has easy to learn yet challenging to master gameplay. Its out on this week on Nintendo switch and next week for PS4 but I would suggest you pickup the switch version as it’s the perfect game to pick up and play for a bit or to play for a few hours.
