ROGUELIKE SHOOTER “MONOLITH” DISCOVERS WHAT LIES AFTER THE END IN NEW CONTENT UPDATE

Independent video game developer Team D-13 have announced After the End, a new and free content update for roguelike shooter Monolith, now available on Steam for Windows PC. Take flight in a top down action shooter with procedurally generated elements. Explore a large, abandoned facility in search of incredible power, fighting dangerous foes and gaining new weapons and upgrades as you progress.

After the End takes what roguelike fans are already calling a gem and introduces a ton of new features. There are hundreds of new rooms to explore, new weapon types, secrets, items, alternate playable ships, a bestiary, and much more. Not to mention Hard Mode, which brings unique (and deadly) new behaviors and attacks for all enemies and bosses.

Monolith is a roguelike shmup hybrid in a fairly traditional setting,” said D-13 Owner and Head Programmer, Taylor Miller. “Wizards, knights, ghosts, spaceships, post apocalyptic ruins, and a giant talking cat.”

A 20% weeklong discount is available to gamers who buy the game through July 24th.  Thereafter, the standard edition of Monolith will be available for $7.99/€7.99/£5.99. The game is currently available on Steam and coming soon to other digital retailers.

Monolith: Descending in the darkness of a long-abandoned facility, a lone ship searches for wealth, power and the scattered pieces of the past.
