Update Goes Live on PC Platforms

Eager for more arachnid action, PC gamers? SpiderHeck, the relentless PvP brawler developed by Neverjam and published by tinyBuild, has dropped its Scroll of Heck update today. The gaming platforms getting in on this eight-legged warfare are Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Consoles Spin a Web of Anticipation

Console gamers, hang tight—your turn is coming. The game will swing onto PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass on Monday, Aug. 28. Nintendo Switch users will join the spidery fray in September.

New Arenas to Showcase Your Spider Skills

This update brings with it a web of new maps that include Burial, Prisms, Hinges, Colosseum, Hammer Time, Excavation, and Drill. These arenas introduce dynamic gameplay elements such as spinning hammers, suspended prisms, and swinging platforms.

PC-Exclusive Map Editor Boost

For those weaving their tales on PC, the Map Editor feature has been enriched. Gamers can now add new challenging elements like hornets, descending containers, and swinging lasers to their versus maps.

Track Achievements with Scroll of Heck

The Scroll of Heck isn’t just the update’s name; it’s also a new menu screen that players can access when the game is paused. From here, players can easily track their achievements, hats associated with each achievement, and overall game progression. Milestone colors unlock at 25, 50, 75, and 100% progression.

Versus Battle Modes for Every Spider

Multiple new profiles are available for versus battle. Options include Casual for newcomers, Standard for the everyday gamer, Blade Master for blade-only bouts, and One Shot, which equips every weapon with just one round, making for a frantic scramble for new gear.

Additional Features and Quality-of-Life Tweaks

On top of these juicy details, the update brings various bug fixes and improvements. This summer update also allows Xbox players to access features from the previous OUR PARK update, which rolls out on Aug. 28.
