As part of Steam’s growing festival Next Fest, Robot Squid has unveiled a demo for their highly anticipated PvP Team Arena Shooter, ‘Big Fat Battle’. The game, set to be released in July, offers a distinctive blend of cross-genre mechanics, eye-catching art style, and intense gameplay. ‘Big Fat Battle’ stands out from the crowd by incorporating parody elements, pitting absurd characters against each other in attrition-based knockout rounds, where players can create unique and ridiculous loadouts with each playthrough.
Gamers can now experience a taste of ‘Big Fat Battle’ by playing the demo, which features the first level set in a vibrant and intricately designed enclosure inhabited by dinosaurs. Players have the opportunity to select from an array of unforgettable characters, including knights, sharks, bikers, babushkas, and even a leopardskin-clad garden gnome named Randy. Navigating through perilous environments, they engage in challenging battles against other players, progress through multiple knockout rounds, and collect coins to expand their loadouts using a roguelike system that offers a wide range of weapons, upgrades, and buffs. However, only a select few will emerge victorious in the fight for supremacy.
The game’s Early Access version is scheduled to launch in July, featuring three distinct maps that boast vivid and colorful graphics. These game worlds come to life, offering players a chance to immerse themselves in a neon-zombie music festival like no other, explore a mysterious island where dinosaurs roam freely, and navigate the dark decks of an alien-infested spaceship while fighting for survival.
