Street Fighter Collaborates with Hip Hop Artists for 50th Anniversary Celebration: Original Soundtrack Revealed

In honor of hip hop’s 50th anniversary this August, Street Fighter, the iconic fighting game franchise, is teaming up with NERDS Clothing and platinum record selling producers Steel Sessions to create an original soundtrack. This collaborative effort brings together top hip hop artists to produce a collection of songs inspired by the immersive world of Street Fighter. The album, titled “Street Fighter 6 x NERDS Clothing presents Steel Sessions,” will be globally available later this year on major digital streaming platforms. This release follows the successful launch of Street Fighter 6 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Physical copies of the album will be available exclusively in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of 2023.

A stellar lineup of hip hop artists has been assembled for this ambitious project, including Benny the Butcher/Black Soprano Family, Royce da 5’9”, Dave East, Papoose, Sheek Louch, Styles P, Grafh, and Smoke DZA. Additional artists will be announced at a later date, adding to the anticipation surrounding this highly-anticipated album.

Renowned New York City MC Dave East shared his excitement about the upcoming release, stating, “Hip hop and Street Fighter go hand in hand. Bringing all these hip hop artists together to celebrate the music’s history alongside the legendary fighting game has been an incredible experience.”

Eric Medina, the CEO and Creative Director of NERDS Clothing, expressed gratitude for the partnership, emphasizing the significant roles that gaming and hip hop play in both business and personal lives.
