FIRST PUBLIC HANDS-ON AT PAX EAST AND EGX REZZED FOLLOWING AWARD WIN FOR ‘BEST GAMEPLAY’ AT THE GAME CONNECTION AWARDS.
Tate Multimedia is hitting the global events scene to show off its upcoming motorbike combat game Steel Rats ahead of its launch later this year on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC. Having just won ‘Best Gameplay’ at the Game Connection awards during GDC week, Steel Rats will be shown to the public for the first time at PAX East and EGX Rezzed to coincide with its worldwide gameplay reveal. Then it will be on to gamescom in August to show off even more of the game at the world’s biggest gaming trade show.
Steel Rats is a visceral and groundbreaking evolution of the 2.5D action-arcade genre, fusing destructive, octane-fueled motorbike combat and death-defying stunt gameplay, set in a visually stylized dieselpunk world.
Announced to much acclaim back in November, this wreck-and-ride action title is looking to push the boundaries of what an action-arcade game can deliver, as well as show off the full potential of Tate Multimedia, one of Poland’s most prominent publishers.
Steel Rats can be found at PAX East in Boston, USA, from April 5-8 in the main Expo Hall Booth # 21010.
It will be at EGX Rezzed in London, UK, from April 13-15 in the Great Gallery Indie Room Booth # GG3 5-8.
Plans for gamescom and beyond are still to be announced.
