Game On: Gear Up with New Cosmetics in TFT’s Latest Update

Riot Games is setting the stage for a fresh, dynamic shopping experience in Teamfight Tactics with the introduction of the Rotating Shop, slated to launch in Patch 14.11 on Thursday, May 30, 2024. This new feature, revealed in a recent Dev Drop video, promises to revamp how players acquire cosmetics, aligning with the game’s current Inkborn Fables set theme.

A Fresh Twist on Strategy Gaming

According to Alex Yang, Senior Game Product Manager at Riot, the Rotating Shop will enhance players’ freedom to select their desired cosmetics, enriching the overall store experience. “We’re looking forward to rolling out this new feature in Inkborn Fables and seeing players’ reaction to the system!” Yang expressed his enthusiasm for the innovative update.

What’s New in the Rotating Shop?

The shop is divided into two main sections—Mythic and Seasonal—catering to different tastes and preferences:

  • Mythic Section: Operates with Mythic Medallions and features a curated collection of rare and top-tier items such as:
    • A brand-new Mythic Chibi, Arena, and Boom
    • Chibi Prestige Dragonmancer Yasuo
    • Chibi Divine Sword Irelia
    • Spirit Blossom Yone Boom
    • Prestige Dragon Fist Lee Sin Boom
  • Seasonal Section: Uses Realm Crystals to offer a broad array of new and classic cosmetics, including:
    • Chibi Ezreal and Chibi Yone
    • Poro Yeet Boom
    • Dr. Shisa
    • Arcade Gloop
    • Plant Buddy Sprite
    • Spirit Blossom Kanmei Lightcharger
    • Goodest Duckbill
    • Dark Star Poptail
    • Nimbus Cloud and Hydroblast Booms
    • Base Yone and Base Ezreal Booms
    • And many more!

Economic Tweaks for Better Access

The introduction of Realm Crystals and Mythic Medallions is complemented by changes to the Treasure Realms economics. Players will see the cost per pull halved to 50 Treasure Tokens, though the drop rate for Mythic content will decrease. These adjustments aim to reduce the overall investment per pull, providing players more rewards and greater control over their cosmetic acquisitions.

Reset and Compensation

With the new patch, guaranteed drop counts will be reset, and all players will receive an appropriate number of Realm Crystals and Mythic Medallions as compensation, ensuring a smooth transition to the enhanced system.
