Fire Hose Games has unveiled a brand-new trailer for their upcoming first-person factory automation game, Techtonica, and announced a release window for Early Access on Steam, set to launch in the summer of 2023. The game is set on the mysterious, bioluminescent world of Calyx, where players build their underground factory, reshape the terrain to suit their needs, and connect their machinery using conveyor belts to automate their factory while exploring the depths of the planet.

Techtonica will appeal to fans of titles like Factorio and Satisfactory, who will feel right at home in the subterranean world of Calyx. The game’s new trailer provides a sneak peek into the immersive underground environment and showcases the various challenges that await players.

Eitan Glinert, President of Fire Hose Games, commented on the development process, stating, “We set out to make a different kind of automation game with Techtonica—one with a story that explains who you are and why you’re building your factory.” He added that they “built a layered mystery for you to peel back while you construct a complex ecosystem of machines.”

Techtonica was initially announced in March last year and has since garnered a dedicated community of Closed Alpha and demo players who have provided valuable feedback throughout its development. Fire Hose Games is excited to bring the Early Access version of Techtonica to players in the coming months.

For those eager to experience the game, a demo for Techtonica is currently available on Steam. Stay tuned for more information on the Early Access launch, and prepare to embark on a unique underground factory-building adventure on the enigmatic world of Calyx.
