Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., a prominent video game publisher and developer, has revealed that TEKKEN 8, the highly anticipated next installment in the renowned fighting game franchise, will be conducting Closed Network Tests (CNT) across consoles and PC. The CNT presents an exciting opportunity for players to experience firsthand the game’s new features and changes to the battle system. Registration for the CNT is now open, with sessions scheduled to commence on July 21st, 2023. TEKKEN 8 will be exclusively available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Introducing TEKKEN 8’s New Features
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., TEKKEN 8 aims to deliver the most visually stunning and action-packed experience in the series thus far. One of the standout features in this installment is the introduction of a new “aggressive” fight system, which encourages players to adopt an offense-first play style. By rewarding those who stay on the attack, the game ensures an intense and fast-paced action throughout. Moreover, TEKKEN 8 breaks barriers by implementing cross-play functionality, allowing players to compete against each other regardless of their chosen platform. Closed Network Tests: Engaging the Community

Character Roster and Stages
The TEKKEN 8 CNT will offer online head-to-head competitive play with cross-platform matching. Testers will have access to 16 playable characters, including the previously revealed fighters such as Jin, Kazuya, Jun, Paul, Law, King, Lars, Jack 8, Xiaoyu, Nina, Leroy, Lili, Asuka, Hwoarang, and Bryan. Additionally, a new fighter named Claudio will be exclusively available for the CNT. To provide diverse battlegrounds for testing, there will be five stages available: Urban Square, Yakushima, Rebel Hangar, Sanctum, and Arena.
Closed Network Test Schedule
The testing phase will be divided into two sessions. The first session, Week 1 CNT, will take place exclusively on PlayStation 5. It will run from July 21st at 1:00 a.m. PDT to July 24th at 12:00 a.m. PDT. However, it’s important to note that a maintenance period is scheduled on July 21st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. PDT, during which the CNT will not be playable.
The second session, Week 2 CNT, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It will begin on July 28th at 1:00 a.m. PDT and conclude on July 31st at 12:00 a.m. PDT. A maintenance period is also scheduled for this session, on July 29th from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. PDT.

It’s worth noting that players who register for the Week 1 tests on PlayStation 5 will also have the opportunity to participate in the Week 2 sessions. This provides them with expanded chances to explore the game and provide valuable feedback.
