Bandai Namco Announces Release Date and Preorders
Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. unveils TEKKEN 8, set to release on January 26th, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., the latest entry in the fighting series will make the most of modern hardware for breathtaking visuals and an aggressive new combat system.
New Game Mode: Arcade Quest
TEKKEN 8 introduces Arcade Quest, an innovative single-player mode providing ultimate training and a novel way to play. Players can create an avatar and visit various arcades to engage in matches designed to teach new techniques and sharpen skills. As players evolve, so will their avatar, facing more challenging opponents in a story reflecting the real-world journey of some esports professionals.
Final Roster and Customization
Six new character reveals, including Kuma, Leo, Shaheen, Steve, Dragunov, and Yoshimitsu, complete the 32-character lineup. TEKKEN 8 offers extensive customization choices, enabling players to modify colors and the size and position of accessories for an individual flair.
Preorders Now Available
TEKKEN 8 preorders come in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Edition. Standard Edition includes the Paul Phoenix Avatar Costume, while PlayStation 5 players get the Mokujin and Testujin Avatar skins. The Deluxe Edition features additional content such as the Playable Character Year 1 Pass and the Gold Suit Pack of character costumes. Ultimate Edition adds Avatar skins for Kazuya, Jin, and Jun, plus 32 patterns of classic TEKKEN T-shirt sets for personalizing avatars.
