Two Factions, One Demo: Global Defense Forces and Tempest Dynasty Campaigns Unveiled

The demo is a treat for classic real-time strategy fans, featuring the first full single-player missions from both the Global Defense Forces and Tempest Dynasty campaigns. Players will get to explore new units, cinematics, and music tracks unique to each faction.

New Units and Features Debut in Tempest Dynasty Campaign

The Tempest Dynasty campaign mission introduces players to unique units such as the Missile Trooper, Ignitor, and Havoc Rocket Buggy. In addition, players can recruit Civilian Militia by completing side objectives. The mission also includes innovative features like destructible and repairable bridges, along with the Dynasty’s Technician unit capable of capturing buildings, repairing vehicles, and planting land mines.

Experience the Global Defense Forces Mission: Air Strikes, Drone Intel and More

For those who missed the game’s earlier Steam Playable Preview, the demo includes the first mission of the Global Defense Forces campaign. This mission allows players to engage with core GDF units like the Drone Operator and Sentinel Scout Car. Features include base-building, drone intelligence gathering, air strikes, and an abundance of explosive barrels to ramp up the action.

Modern Meets Classic: Tempest Rising’s Unique Gameplay

Tempest Rising combines the classic real-time strategy elements from the ’90s and 2000s with modern production standards. The game takes players to an alternate 1997 timeline where the Cuban Missile Crisis went nuclear. In the aftermath, a strange red electrical vine called Tempest starts to spread, altering the course of history.

Key Features of Tempest Rising: Asymmetry, Customization, and Deep Storytelling

  • Classic RTS base-building combined with fast-paced combat and extensive customization options
  • Three unique factions with individual harvesting models, secondary resource systems, and unit rosters
  • Single-player campaigns enriched with between-mission cutscenes
