Elder Scrolls Online Update 40: Now Live on Consoles and PC
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) brings fresh excitement with its latest Update 40, now available for free on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Players who already own ESO can immediately experience the new PvE challenge, the Endless Archive, along with a range of additional features. Marking this update’s launch, ESO also debuts on consoles in Japan, expanding its global reach.
The Endless Archive: Never-ending Challenges and Rewards
The Endless Archive, a new PvE challenge, invites players to explore a continuously evolving dungeon. Offering dynamic, randomly generated stages, this unique challenge is filled with monsters and boss encounters. Gamers can embark on this adventure solo, with a friend, or a Companion, delving deeper into Stages, Cycles, and Arcs. The difficulty scales up with progression, unlocking exclusive rewards including mounts, pets, cosmetics, and new Class sets.
Revamped Group Finder and Crafting Options
Update 40 isn’t just about PvE challenges. It introduces an enhanced Group Finder, allowing players to form parties based on specific criteria like CP levels, voice chat usage, playstyle, and desired group roles. Additionally, Grand Master Crafting Stations are now available, enabling players to merge all home attuned crafting stations for a skill line into one convenient furnishing. This update also brings a rebalance to Jewelry Crafting and standardizes Quest XP & Gold rewards.
Accessing the Endless Archive
The Endless Archive is accessible to all as a free base-game addition, requiring no additional purchase. ESO Plus members enjoy bonus gains in Archival Fortune. Access is available either through the Necrom Chapter’s entrance in Apocrypha or directly via the Endless Archive icon on the Apocrypha map.
Group Finder and Crafting Innovations
With the new Group Finder tool, players can easily connect with others for various in-game activities. The tool’s customization extends to roles, CP levels, and more. Grand Master Crafting Stations also debut, offering a space-efficient way to consolidate crafting stations.
Jewelry Crafting Rebalance and Quest Reward Standardization
Jewelry Crafting sees a significant rebalance, making it more cost-effective. Update 40 also standardizes XP and Gold rewards across quests, ensuring consistency based on quest complexity and length.
