Nightdive Studios Marks November 14th Release
Nightdive Studios, a well-known video game remaster studio and a subsidiary of Atari®, partnered with Universal Games and Digital Platforms to announce Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, set to release on Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on November 14th, 2023. This was revealed today at gamescom 2023, completing the remastered trilogy.
Bringing the Classic to Modern Gaming
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is an authentic restoration of the iconic first-person shooter from 2000, initially released for Nintendo 64. Nightdive Studios has upgraded the game using its proprietary KEX Engine to allow play on modern gaming platforms with resolutions up to 4K at 120FPS. This launch joins Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil remasters, completing the trilogy with enhanced features.
A New Level of Visual Fidelity
Utilizing the latest version of the KEX engine, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion achieves a higher tier of visual quality across 3D models, textures, and effects. The improvements include high-resolution textures, better lighting and rendering, and console gamepad support.
The Reimagined Adventure
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion lets players step into the shoes of dual protagonists Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, the siblings of Turok 2’s Joshua Fireseed. They are on a quest to defeat the antagonist Oblivion and its followers, the Flesh Eaters, after their brother’s apparent demise.
