Soulslinger: Envoy of Death Ramps Up the Action with Fresh Update & Joins Steam’s FPS Fest

Gamers, get your revolvers ready! Elder Games, in collaboration with the alt-indie squad at Headup, just dropped a massive update for their Wild West-inspired roguelite FPS, Soulslinger: Envoy of Death, which is currently shaping the game in Steam’s Early Access. In this supernatural showdown, players step into the ethereal boots of a gunslinger, tasked by Death to harvest souls. But it’s not just about collecting souls—you’re up against The Cartel, a nefarious group that even death can’t stop.

Dive Into the Forgotten Graveyard

The April update introduces players to a chilling new playground: the Forgotten Graveyard. This eerie realm isn’t just for sightseeing; it’s packed with new challenges, including four sinister new enemies that promise to keep your trigger finger busy.

Meet The Countess

At the heart of the Forgotten Graveyard lurks The Countess, a new boss who’s as deadly as she is mysterious. Conquering her not only requires skill but might also reward players with the Night Quartet, a new four-shooter that operates on a cooldown mechanic, adding a fresh tactical layer to the gunplay.

Essence and Efficiencies

The update doesn’t stop at new realms and bosses; it also introduces “Spectral Essence” and “Blood Essence.” These additions come packed with abilities and perks that players can unlock to enhance their journey through the afterlife. Spectral Essence is accessible within the Forgotten Graveyard, while Blood Essence becomes available after taking down the King’s Guard.

Build and Boost

Back at Haven, your home base, the update offers new construction options like the Power Totem and the Orb of the Seer. These are not just decorative; they’re functional upgrades that allow players to infinitely enhance their stats and keep tabs on their combat efficiency, ensuring every gunslinger is at their best.

Visuals and Controls on Point

To top it all off, Elder Games has polished the game with updated visual effects for “The Poison Bullet” and refined gamepad controls, ensuring a smoother and more visually immersive experience.

Don’t Miss the FPS Fest

And there’s more good news! From April 15-22, Soulslinger: Envoy of Death will be part of Steam’s FPS Fest, offering the game at a significant discount. It’s a perfect time for newcomers to jump in and for veterans to dive back into the afterlife.
