The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass is set to release its final DLC, Vol. 4 – Future Redeemed, for the Nintendo Switch system on April 25th. This latest addition to the expansion pass offers players an original story scenario that connects all three installments in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. The events of Future Redeemed take place prior to Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and players will be able to join a mix of new and familiar characters as they explore the interconnected storyline.

The new DLC also introduces fresh battle mechanics, such as the Unity Combo, which allows two characters to simultaneously launch an attack. This innovative feature further enhances the gaming experience and provides players with more strategic options during combat.

In addition to the new DLC, the Pyra + Mythra 2-pack amiibo figures will be available for purchase starting Friday, July 21. By scanning the Pyra amiibo in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, players can alter the appearance of Noah’s Swordfighter class weapon to resemble Pyra’s Aegis Sword. Similarly, scanning the Mythra amiibo will change the sword for Noah’s Swordfighter class to match Mythra’s Aegis Sword. The Aegis sword weapon skins will be accessible to all players after meeting certain conditions, which will be included in a future patch release.

Furthermore, new Noah and Mio amiibo figures have been announced, with more details to be revealed at a later date.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set in the world of Aionios, where two rival nations, Keves and Agnus, are locked in a never-ending conflict. By chance, six soldiers from both sides join forces to combat a more significant threat that looms over their homelands. Players can accompany Noah, Mio, and their allies as they journey through breathtaking landscapes, confront formidable creatures, and struggle to end the cycle of violence that engulfs their world.

Similar to previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, battles commence by directly engaging enemies in the field. Players can control Noah’s party of six and recruit additional characters during the adventure to serve as support characters. Each character has a distinct role in battle, enabling diverse strategies to be employed. Character classes dictate their fighting style, while powerful abilities known as Arts help secure victory. Additionally, specific tag-team pairs within the party can utilize the Interlink system to combine into a colossal form called Ouroboros.
