With the release date, only a few weeks away (June 19th, 2020) Naughty Dog Vice President and Game Director Neil Druckmann gave us a special preview of The Last of Us Part II. It featured detailed information about the gameplay experience and story. The story picks up a few years after part 1 they have taken refuge in a small town Jackson, Wyoming, Ellie an adult now and lives on her own. A catastrophic event happens and she has now set out on a mission into the world to seek revenge. You will explore new parts of the country in a more detailed experience than ever before in the new version of Naughty Dog’s game engine. It will feature the largest open-world environment Naughty Dog has ever created with a multitude of new mechanics and combat features. You begin your quest in Seattle a collapsed quarantine zone where you will have to fight through 2 factions who are fighting for resources and supplies. You will also come into contact with a slew of new enemies that have more intense mechanics but you will not always have to face them alone. You will meet allies along the way who will help you navigate and fight through your journey. The crafting bench allows you to personalize and craft your equipment, you can also upgrade Ellie’s skills and craft consumables.
