Additional Aberrations and More Sighted as a Brand-New Update Docks for ‘DREDGE’
Black Salt Games and Team17 Digital have released a new, free update to the critically-acclaimed sinister fishing adventure DREDGE. This update brings exciting new features to the game, including additional deep-sea aberrations, wildlife events, a new monster, and two new modes: Passive Mode and Photo Mode.
Photo Mode: Capturing the Abyss
One of the most requested features since DREDGE’s launch on March 30th, the new Photo Mode allows players to visually document their findings on the open sea. However, before they can embark on this new photographic adventure, players must first obtain a piece of equipment by fishing and exchange it with a new islander, a photographer. Only then can they spot nautical life through a lens and capture the Eldritch horrors that surround the area, as well as witness wildlife events like schools of dolphins off the port bow.
Passive Mode: Embracing Relaxation
For gamers who prefer a more relaxed experience, the new ‘Passive’ mode is a perfect addition. This mode allows players to enjoy the laid-back fishing gameplay of DREDGE while avoiding the more sinister side of the adventure. It is an ideal option for those who want to avoid the biggest threats and focus on the peaceful aspects of the game.
New Aberrations and Wildlife Events
The update introduces ten additional aberrations that players can catch, each with their own unique characteristics. These new aberrations join the existing ones in the game, providing players with a wider variety of challenging catches. Additionally, players can now observe new wildlife events, such as the graceful whale shark, which is the largest living nonmammalian vertebrate, and pods of orca whales. These additions enhance the immersive experience of exploring the depths of the ocean in DREDGE.
A New Monster Emerges
As if the existing aberrations weren’t daunting enough, the update brings forth a new monster from the deep. This terrifying creature is sure to strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest fishing vessels. Players will need to be prepared and face this formidable opponent if they dare to continue their fishing adventures in DREDGE.
