Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain (SIE Spain) and Aeterna Game Studio are happy to reveal the second of a series of dev diaries that will show the world of Aeterna in its full glory. This second dev diary is focused on the game’s soundtrack.
The studio describes in great detail how the creative process of the pieces of this promising title is like, from the first drafts to the final score and mastering. The team behind the soundtrack noted the importance of having all the bases covered while composing it, the level, its design, or even the visual references: “It is essential that the melody fits perfectly with the player experience at any time”.
The instruments and voices used during the soundtrack differ depending on the exact point that the player finds him or herself. A piano melody is a useful tool in laid-back platforming and exploration sections whereas electric guitars and vocal choruses better suit to final bosses. Aeternum Game Studio has put special care into crafting a soundtrack that will feature up to 46 tracks.
