Com2uS’ Launches Summoners War: Lost Centuria & Brand New Comic Series

Com2uS today announced the launch of Summoners War: Lost Centuria, the highly anticipated follow-up to Summoners War: Sky Arena, a popular mobile RPG boasting 100 million players worldwide. Taking Summoners War in an all-new PvP direction, in Lost Centuria players can engage in thrilling matches, evoke summoners spells, and battle against dozens of new monsters to become the best. Summoners War: Lost Centuria is now available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Additionally, aligned with the game’s launch is the release of the all-new Summoners War: Legacy comic book series from Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics. The first issue of Summoners War: Legacy, “Summoners War #1” is now available for purchase physically at comic book shops worldwide, and digitally on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.

“Summoners War is a franchise that has reached over 100 million fans around the world and we could not be more excited to further expand the franchise with the launch of Summoners War: Lost Centuria and our first venture into comics which further builds on the lore of this series,” said Kyu Lee, President at GAMEVIL COM2US USA, “The Summoners War: Lost Centuria experience serves as a great entry point for those new to the franchise as well as our existing massive fanbase through its fast, fun and strategic PvP combat that will showcase the true breadth and depth of the incredible characters and world of this series.”

Summoners War: Lost Centuria takes the Summoners War franchise in an entirely new direction, fusing classic monsters and gameplay with a new combat system that maximizes the thrill of each individual match. Battles unfold in real-time, making for a fast-paced combat experience. Players can take command by spending Mana on skill cards and unleashing powerful, once-per-battle summoner spells to turn the tide of battle in their favor, or counter opponents’ skills directly with counterattack mode. Players will experience a multitude of ways to battle enemies and NPCs with various PvP and PvE modes in Lost Centuria, including:

  • Ranked Battle – The main PvP mode of the game, where players can increase their “grade” based on “victory points” earned from battling opponents.
  • Normal Battle – This PvP mode is best used for practice, and allows players to earn rewards without touching their “victory points.”
  • Barrier Battle – Both players fight with the same buff or debuff in this PvP mode to earn victory points. Some barriers last 4 days and generate up to 10 victory points.
  • Siege Battle – PvE campaign-style mode where players fight through 12 chapters, each with 3 stages. New chapters unlock as the player’s grade increases, and players can earn unique rewards as they conquer each chapter.
  • Wanted – After completing a Siege Battle stage, the final boss battle will appear in Wanted and players will receive a reward for defeating the Wanted target.

Last week Com2uS kicked off the first competitive gaming event for Summoners War: Lost Centuria with the World 100 Invitational, an online tournament bringing together 100 Influencers from Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia to compete for $150,000 in cash prizes. The event was live-streamed through its official channels and the participants’ channels, reaching 200,000 concurrent viewers during the event. Esports professional and full-time streamer FanHOTS took first place and showed his immediate passion for the game by stating that he’ll invest part of his prize money back into the game when it launches. The event also included a charity component, with Charles Melton, who participated in the tournament as the “lucky match host” and selected the organization in support of the #StopAsianHate movement, donating $10,000 to the non-profit organization Asian Mental Health Collective. In addition, Super Junior singer Eun-hyuk and comedian Jinho Lee donated $11,000 to a Korean organization related to preventing and supporting victims of crimes against children.

Newcomers to the series and comic book fans alike can now experience the origin story behind Summoners War with the launch of the all-new comic book series from Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics, Summoners War: Legacy. From by writer Justin Jordan (The Strange Talent of Luther Strode, Reaver) and artist Luca Claretti (Adventure Time Comics) with colors by Giovanna Niro (Star Trek: Nero) and lettering by Deron Bennett (Excellence, Assassin Nation), comes a unique story of heroism and adventure. In this dramatic, action-packed prequel comic book set 35 years before the game’s central conflict, readers will journey to the mystical land of Alea to meet fan-favorite monsters and colorful characters including Abuus, Rai, and Tomas to find out how it all began. The first issue of Summoners War: Legacy, “Summoners War #1” is now available for purchase physically at comic book shops worldwide, and digitally on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.
