Recap on Updates and New Features
Executive Producer Steve Ricossa reflected on the latest additions to Crash Team Rumble. Season 1 brought a range of first-time features:
- Limited-time mode: Zap Trap
- New Map: Bogged Down
- Balance Changes
- New Power: Sticky TNT
July was particularly eventful, with a mid-season update addressing various community-reported issues, ensuring a more stable gaming experience. The developers, TFB, have been actively engaging with the player community, gathering feedback, and refining the game accordingly.
Balancing Heroes and Powers
One of the focal points of recent updates has been the balance of characters and powers. After introducing new characters such as Ripper, the developers worked on fine-tuning certain characters based on feedback. This balancing process, requiring the attention of both the development and game teams, is ongoing and expected to continue as more content is added.
What’s Coming Up?
Towards the end of the current season, players can look forward to the introduction of N.Gin, slated for early release on August 24th and full launch on September 12th. This character will be available through an event, structured similarly to Ripper’s release but with modifications based on community feedback.
Additionally, TFB is giving back to the PlayStation and Xbox communities by offering them a free trial, offering a taste of the gaming experience that current players have relished over the past months.
Season 2 Teasers
As TFB gears up for Season 2, the most significant community request has been for more game modes. Addressing this, TFB plans to roll out Party Mode, a cooperative experience for up to four players. Furthermore, a new feature named TFB Labs will be introduced, offering a rotation of experimental modes.
With a free trial around the corner and promising features lined up for Season 2, Crash Team Rumble looks set to maintain its legacy in the gaming world. Players, both old and new, can anticipate an immersive and evolving experience as TFB continues its collaborative efforts with the community.
