Double Elimination Tournament Puts Lion’s Share of $700,000 Prize Pool on the Line
Weeks of fierce competition all comes down to this. The Stage 1 Playoffs of the Call of Duty World League (CWL) Presented by PlayStation®4 are live this weekend, beginning May 26th at 4:00 pm ET.
Eight teams remain, competing for top honors and their share of the $700,000 Global Pro League Stage 1 prize pool.
All eyes will be on OpTic Gaming as the only team with a perfect record within the Group Stage, dominating Group Green. Enigma6 handily defeated its competition to secure second. Seeding in Group Red saw Team EnVyUs place above Splyce off a single map victory. Despite being the last team to qualify for Stage 1 of the Global Pro League, Evil Geniuses took top spot in Group Blue with FaZe Clan pushing through and claiming second after an intense final day of competition. Finally, eUnited and Luminosity round out the eight teams competing this weekend, after dominating Group Yellow.

The competition continues Saturday, with the action kicking off at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT. Team placement and schedules will be determined based on Friday’s results. Finally, the CWL Global Pro League Stage 1 Playoffs comes to an end on Sunday, May 28, beginning at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT.
