Elemental Upheaval in Deepholm
Blizzard Entertainment, on January 11, 2024, announced the launch of “Delve into Deepholm”, an exciting new mini-set for Hearthstone. This latest addition, releasing on January 18, promises to bring a fresh wave of strategy and excitement to the popular card game.
The Deepholm Saga
Delve into Deepholm unfolds in the underground world of Deepholm, where the Bloodrock Mining Co. has unwittingly opened a portal to the Elemental Plane. As players navigate this new realm, they’ll encounter Therazane, the elemental lord defending her territory, alongside new allies and formidable foes.
New Cards Break Ground
This mini-set introduces 38 new cards, including 4 Legendary, 1 Epic, 17 Rare, and 16 Common cards. Players can acquire these cards through Showdown in the Badlands packs or by purchasing the complete 72-card set. The set is available in normal versions for $14.99 or 2000 Gold, and an all-Golden version, including a bonus Diamond Legendary card, for $69.99 or 10,000 Gold.
Key Characters and Allies
Key figures in this saga include Deepminer Brann, who teams up with Reno and Elise in the depths of Deepholm. Brann’s tenacity and no duplicate card status make him a valuable ally. He is also featured as the bonus Diamond Legendary card in the Golden Mini-Set.
Expanding the Excavation
The mini-set not only introduces new Excavated Treasures across various tiers but also expands the Excavate keyword to two new classes, along with their own Legendary Excavate treasures. The full reveal of these classes and treasures will occur during the reveal season.
Dual-Class Dynamics
Delve into Deepholm revives the concept of dual-class cards, offering a fresh dynamic to gameplay. Each class receives four dual-class cards, broadening the spectrum of strategies and deck-building options. These combinations include unique pairings like the Warrior and Demon Hunter, promising exciting new synergies.
Further Expansions and Events
The adventure doesn’t stop there. Players can look forward to the February Twist season, starting February 1, which challenges deck building to common cards only. Additionally, the Lunar New Year Event returns, offering a variety of rewards, including hero skins and Signature cards.
